Benefits of Guest Blogging

These days, more Bloggers are figuring out that there are tons of benefits associated with guest blogging. Even Bloggers with less than a month experience in blogging, are seeking guest posting positions. Some are anxious to reap the benefits. However, before I get into the benefits of guest blogging, I’ll explain what guest blogging is. If you already know what guest blogging is, you may skip this section and go to “How to guest Blog Successfully?”

What is Guest Blogging This is the kind of question that has many different answers. However, I’ll define it in simple terms. I believe that guest blogging takes place when bloggers post or upload their original content to other Blogger’s blog. They do this for various reasons which you’ll learn later on in this post. In other words, you’re a guest blogger when your work, whether it be articles, posts, images, audio, media or video appears on someone else’s blog – You should also note that you could also have other Bloggers guest post on your blog.

How to Guest Blog Successfully? Many bloggers believe that it’s important to target blogs that are similar to theirs. For instance, if your blog is about “pet care tips,” you should find blogs that are pet related; write post on that topic and submit to those blogs. In my opinion, guest Blogging is very easy.
Once you have a plan and know what you’re doing, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding guest blogging positions.

Follow this step-by-step instruction, and you’ll be on your way to guest blogging successfully.
Step1: You need to know where to find blogs that pertains to your niche. I’ll use the same example I used earlier, let’s say your blog provides post on “pet care tips,” you could visit Google and type in keywords or phrases like tips for pets, pet care, care for animals and so on.
Step 2: To guest blog successfully, you need to have a good knowledge of the topics you plan to write about. If not, adequate research should be done to gather additional information.
Step 3: Familiarize yourself with the blog(s) that you would like to guest post on; read their policies, procedures and follow them. Write your article or post; spell check and edit.
Step 4: Contact the potential Host Blogger via email or contact form to get permission to submit your post.
Step 5: If you got the green light to submit your post, go ahead and submit your post. Include an email to the host Blogger; tell the Host blogger that you appreciate the opportunity to guest blogger on his or her blog.
Step 6: Remember, there’s nothing more embarrassing than a blogger submitting a 1200 word article to a host blogger, when the maximum words required is 600. Follow the host’s guidelines and submitting policies.
Step 7: Once your content is published, you should promote it using any social networking sites you choose. For example, you could promote your post by using Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Stumbleupon or other social or bookmarking or networking sites.
